Pops-inlaw,,,, it kind of has a nice ring to it.

This is it !! This is the day I officially become a Pops-inlaw. 

I gain a beautiful, smart daughter-inlaw that I already  love very much.

To say I'm excited and proud would be an understatement.
 

I haven't thought much about weddings since mine.

Somehow,,,through the raising of 2 great kids,,it
still never really entered my mind. But it's starting to set in now.

Well actually it kind of started when Lauren dragged Josh to the house to introduce herself. 

And we've loved her ever since. 

She's been around long enough now,,,she's like part of the family, no matter what.

We got to meet alot of her family and friends at her graduation party a couple of months ago. 

And I must say,,,My son is a very lucky man.

He's been treated like one of their family for quite awhile now. 

They let him sleep in their house (not the same room as Lauren)

They fixed up the bathroom beside the pool room just for him, 

just so he wouldn't peel the paint and plaster off the walls in the others. 

Not to mention the aroma that creeps out from under the door as he's doing his business.
Naaa, I won't mention that, but he is a chip off the old block.

I'm not really sure who all is going to showup today, but it's going to be really nice.

Weddings have come a lonng ways since Lisa's and mine. I don't remember a rehersal,,heck I don't remember much of my wedding at all. I don't remember going and renting a tux,or buying shoes. I do remember standing in the preacher's carport and asking if he'd marry us. He was a preacher I had worked for as a kid, picking tomatoes.He asked me a couple of questions then had me bring Lisa by so he could ask her some questions too.And I do remember I was relieved when he agreed to do it.

Josh and Lauren went to counseling. Which is something I hadn't heard of. 

But I think is a wonderful idea, it makes you think of the,,
What if this happens ?,,or that ?, or that ?

Back in our day, the moms and dads must of done it. The questions like are you sure you want to do this ? What's going to happen if you get fat and ugly. If somebody cuts your head off,,,will the other still love ya ? If your baby is born nekkid and without any teeth, will you still love one another ?

Yeah I know,,that's ridiculous, but I guarantee the counselor has questions,,,most of us never think about.

That's been the line floating around in my head since Josh told me it's Lauren's favorite line this week

.LOL,,I use it everytime I get a chance.

I asked Lauren what color of tuxedo I needed and she said black. 

I been telling her I bought a pink one so I'd look good beside Lisa.

And like this is so real,,I better get my butt in gear,,,it's going to be a busy,,wonderful day, 

and all I got to do is show up.

Lauren just posted on facebook that she is awake @ 6:30 after only 3 hours of sleep. 

Because maybe now...she's a little bit nervous.

I won't tell her that her Pops-inlaw crashed last night before 10,,was back up at 11:45,,,1:30 am,
2:30, 4:00 and finally gave up and stayed up at 5:00. Naaa,,,I'm not excited !! WooHooooooo!!! 

I'm not sleepy either zzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzz

I just have this feeling it's going to be a  great day !
