Gone Working

I just talked to one of my buddies. I'm wanting him to do some work for me.

He's a heat and air guy, has been the last 30 years or so.

He's telling me how things have seemed to dry up the last couple of months.
That he's never seen it this slow. That the govt. is forcing new restrictions and new certifications upon the heating and ac businesses this year.

 

About being required to do inspections of peoples homes for lead base paints, asbestos,blah,blah,blah,,,,,and having to report such cases, because if they don't,,they could be fined $30,000 or more.......
 Alot of his competition is getting out,,,and he says depending on how much of an increase he has to pay in liability insurance will be a major factor in how long he can remain in business.
He says it's just a way for the govt. to get more money,,,without taxation.
Sounds like another way to put people out of work to me.

 

Anyway he warned me,,,heatpumps and such are getting ready to skyrocket in price,because of all this,,so if you're close to needing one,,,Now may be the time to get it.

I know that don't sound like a big deal,,,and it won't be for people with houses less than 20 years old.

But there's still alot of old houses out there, that won't pass for one small reason or another. And those houses will probably be condemned and the owner probably won't be able to afford a HAZMAT crew,,,

So figure it out.
